army.
Lecture
We think that
happiness is calmness. But this is a material understanding of
happiness. Now I will tell you something you need to understand
in the right way: spiritual life is full of anxiety and
worries!!! There is no doubt that people who practice
self-development also have worries, but these worries are
spiritual, they are special. Spiritual worries are good for us,
they help us. But, material worries bring us only harm. Material
worries are an ulcer attack, but spiritual worries are an attack
of love. We are afraid of worries, but love means worrying about
those, who are our responsibility.
Any communication
creates worries, because in each case we need to pay special
attention to people. If we are not worried about finding a
special approach to each person, all our communication becomes
one big insult. There are several universal laws, which allow us
to find an approach to each person rather easily and
comfortably. In standard communication, it is enough to just
respect each other. This is the best method of communication.
Respect makes our hearts stronger and allows us to have a
positive exchange with the other person. Friends don't share
garbage; they treat each other to cakes and pies.
To do this, we need
to understand one simple, but important idea: those, who are
around us are not our servants, they are the servants of God.
This means that our relationship with other people can only be
friendly. Only a guru (spiritual master) can be hard and harsh,
because he can be as soft as a rose at the same time. But, let's
first learn how to be like roses.
Every person wants
to be in the company of friends, not in a company of people, who
expose all his imperfections. When everyone is friendly, even
words that expose flaws won't sound insulting. In this case,
these words will cause the desire to change and become better.
Without respect, a person will want to build his own separate
world, create his own separate family, make up his own
philosophy, and buy himself his own dog...
This drives us away
from the right path, which has been made for us a long time ago.
Practically no changes have taken place in our perception of the
world, there is no news in philosophy because this is not
possible. The whole world is just a big frying pan. The sun is
the flame, the days and nights are the firewood, the months and
years are the serving spoon, and time is the cook itself, who
stirs us, so that we are cooked evenly on each side. This cook
alternates the white and black sides of our life, so that we
become gray... This was said by Yudhistira on this battlefield
5,000 thousand years ago. Nothing new was said about this ever
since. The fire on this kitchen is still burning...
Proverb
Once a person was
seen sleeping by the road. He acted rather strangely: he
sometimes laughed, and sometimes became serious. He gestured
strangely, and then started laughing again. The people, who were
passing him, came closer and asked:
"Mulla, what is so
funny?"
"Funny stories," he
answered. "I am telling myself funny stories."
The passer-bys were
surprised. One of them asked:
"From time to time,
you become serious. Why?"
"This happens, when
I tell a story that I have already heard."
Every person has to
be fried evenly, then he is served to the taster, Yamaraj - the
supreme judge of this world. He will ask us only one question,
which we have to know the answer to. He will ask us: "Who are
you?" If we answer "My name is Mr. John Smith, I am a man, I
died at the age of 78. All my life I worked at the plant. I have
been married and divorced three times. I thought democracy will
solve all our problems." Such an answer means we will once again
have to go through all the circles of hell in this world, which
seems like heaven at first.
Now we will find
out, what it is we have to say to pass this test. This knowledge
is the secret of secrets, because it solves the most important
problem of our life - the problem of death. Memorize this by
heart. It is useless to write it down, because no one will allow
us to take a notebook or computer with us. We won't be able to
write it down on our hand either - our hand will be buried in
the earth. Memorize and remember the right answer. When death
asks you, who you are,
you need to
answer: "I AM THE SERVANT OF GOD!" This is the password, and it
still works.
This state is
called "bhava". It is the sum total of everything we have
thought about in our life. Therefore, our last thought and our
answer to the question will be the thing we thought about most
during our life. A person thinks that when death comes, he will
remember the right thing, but God warns us that if we cannot
think about Him in a calm state of mind, how will we be able to
do this when pain, fear, and confusion come?
Therefore, the time
has come to think about the Absolute Truth. Yes, it might seem
like we are just pretending to be interested in the Absolute
Truth, but since it is God we are pretending to think about,
this pretence becomes completely purifying. Even if you are in
the shower and are just pretending to be washing, water will
still do its job. God is not the one, who helps us in life, he
is the one, who helps us at the time of death. He will surely
help us, if we at least pretended to think about Him our whole
life...
Thinking about God
is the price we have to pay to meet Him. This is what defines a
person's true development. The higher
his goal is,
the higher his consciousness is.
Proverb
Once, a farmer's
donkey dropped into a well. While the famer thought about what
he should do, the poor animal cried for several hours. After a
while, the farmer made a decision. He decided that the donkey
was too old, and the well needed to be
closed anyway. It wasn't worth the time and effort to pull the
old donkey out of the well. He called all his neibours to help
him bury the well. Everyone took their shovels and started
digging and throwing soil into the well.
The donkey
understood what was happening right away and made a terrible
squealing sound. Then, to everyone's surprise, he became quiet.
After some time, the farmer decided to check on the donkey. He
was amazed at what he saw when he looked down. After a some soil
landed on his back, the donkey did something that was hard to
believe. He shook off the soil and stepped on the new hill that
was formed by it.
While the farmer's
neibours continued to throw soil into the well, each time the
animal shook it off and stepped onto the newly thrown soil. Very
soon, everyone was amazed to see that the donkey was at the top
of the well. He jumped over the edge of the well and ran away as
fast as he could!
In life we meet
many different tests and difficulties. Moreover, they will come
one after the other; again and again they will throw soil of
difficulties on us. However, if we won't stop and give up, we
will be able to climb out of any well - even the deepest one. |
